VOICE OF SCANDINAVIA. THE PHOTO BOOK is an independent publishing company based in Oslo, Norway – run by photographers Massimo Leardini and Hans-Olav Forsang. THE PHOTO BOOK seeks collaboration with photographers and artists who have high quality book projects under planning. We can offer contribution to an overall process from idea to finished book. Our assistance will include counseling for funding applications, mentoring, image reviews, design and marketing. THE PHOTO BOOK strongly believe in a close collaboration with the artists, designers and our international network for distribution, marketing and sales.
LET´S GET IN TOUCH. You are welcome to contact us for a non-binding meeting about your project, ideas and goals for a finished book. Together we then define what needs you and the project have for our contribution to implementation. A collaboration agreement is based on a comprehensive process.
FUNDING. Most photo books need substantial funding and fortunately there are quite a few foundations supporting high quality book projects in Norway. As part of our counseling we will do what we can to help you defining which funds should be suitable for your project and also assist you with the application process.
MENTORING. Based on our experience as photographers and bookmakers we will offer you mentoring to your process along the way.
BOOK DESIGN. Designing the book is naturally a very important part of the book project and we will give you advice and support – either by offering our own design or reach out for first class designers both in Norway and abroad.
PRODUCTION. We have a huge network of printing companies all over the world and will be able to connect the right collaborator for your project.
INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION. We are collaborating with other publishers around the world. All our books will be distributed worldwide and also be included in the collection presented at photo fairs like Paris Photo, Photo London and more.
